We took an 8 hour train across the Andean Mountain valley from Puno to Cusco. The train was as old school and lovely as it gets, with a formal bar car, open air back car, formal lunch and entertainment as the train slowly made its way passing gorgeous farm land, Alpaca, Llamas, Horses and the occassional Cow. To get out into the mountains we first passed through congested streets where people and kiosks/shops were so close it felt like you were in them. Check out how close S's head is to the action outside the window. On this trip I requested few flights and more trains and buses. While not always pleasant you do see more. With 18 countries on the fall tour this feels important. And the Perurail did not disappoint. We stopped at a tiny church on a mountaintop and enjoyed the breathtaking views throughout the day.
